The roots of terrorism: Ireland 1920-40

James Dingley

This article looks at the roots of terrorism in Ireland before 1920, the same causes still applying after 1920, including the period 1969-2007 (Provisional IRA campaign in Northern Ireland). It places the causes in the socio-economic and political history of Ireland in the 19th century, noting how modern industrial development was confined to the predominantly Protestant North (Ulster). La “questione ebraica” nella società italiana all’epoca di Benito Mussolini

Kirill Terentiev

Diplomat in service for a few years in Italy, the author wanted to study how the “Jewish question” manifested itself in the ”Apennine peninsula” at the time of fascism. He made a careful choice of the most representative historiographical and documentary sources, collected even a few oral sources, and laying on them a cold gaze external to the story he has briefly reconstructed the origin and evolution of this question in the fascist period, showing its chauvinistic character and strong politicization.
